Combining her interest in Buddhism, travel and photography, Mia Randall presents a collection of images, (including various photographs of Buddhas!), from her travels to Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Spain and Dubai
“By gazing at images of Buddha, we can absorb some of Buddha’s good properties. For example, images of Buddha will often show Buddha as being calm, strong, compassionate, joyful or wise. Or we might find many other positive qualities. So it follows that if we see if we can discern these qualities in a Buddha image, we can choose to consciously develop these qualities in ourselves.
I was taught this by a Buddhist teacher and I’ve practiced it now and again for many years. I really think it works!!”
The only thing that disappointed me about this book was that I did not order a print version (but that will change) – the photographs were breathtaking; makes me want to visit the same places.
