Tortoise Shell Glasses by James MM Baldwin

Tortoise Shell Glasses

Twelve-year-old Johnny Junior had heard his father’s fantastic story hundreds of times. He did not know if it was true or not, but nothing could have prepared him for the day he visited the birthplace of his father’s tale. What does Johnny discover? Was his father’s account accurate, or is something more sinister beneath it all?
A game of hide and seek gone wrong – what a brilliant short story!!! While I would love to hear what happened to the boy during his absence, it is also nice how it is left to the imagination. Now I am off to check out some of this author`s other words of literary art.
